Erin is a village in Wellington County and is approximately 80 Kilometers northwest of Toronto, Ontario. Erin is an amalgamated town, composed of Erin, Hillsburgh, and surrounding areas including Ballinafad, Brisbane, Cedar Valley, Crewson’s Corners, Ortonand the smaller hamlets of Binkham, Coningsby, Mimosa and Ospringe.
Houses in Erin are primarily detached, bungalows, splits and two story homes on large lots serviced by municipal water and septic systems.Erin consists of several neighbourhoods including Delerin, Erin Heights, Erindale with the newer estate subdivion of Leenders, Treelong and Armstrong at the south end of the Village and the exclusive areas of Delarmbro, Kildare, Patrick and Kerry to the west.
Erin is also home to many farms and acreages and you can still find plenty of vacant building lots which are quite rare as you move further south.
The main street of Erin is home to some wonderful local shops including Debora’s Chocolates, Tintagels and Hannah’s to name just a few. There is always something going on in the community for adults and kids alike. For the active, there are several trails in and around Erin. At the north end of town, there is a connection with the rail-line based Elora-Cataract Trailway, website and the Trans Canada Trail, website system. Erin also has their own village trails, website which are well marked and cross both public and private property.
